Antimony may cause respiratory disorders and gastrointestinal effects [10]. Antimony trioxide is suspected carcinogenic potential in humans (Group 2B). Dermal absorption of antimony has not been studied well but one study showed that 0.26% of antimony trioxide would be absorbed through human skin by an in vitro percutaneous study [11]. Antimony sulphide form usually is used in cosmetics for colour pigment. In Korea, antimony is adopted by national limits as an impurity in cosmetics (10µg/g) [5].
