Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), commonly referred to as Steele-Richardson-Olszewski syndrome, is an extremely rare form of Parkinson’s disease. Although PSP is characterized by a more fast advancement of symptoms than idiopathic Parkinson’s disease is, both conditions commonly make their appearance in middle age. PSP is characterized by a more rapid progression of symptoms than idiopathic Parkinson’s disease.
