Hidradenoma papilliferum (HP) is a rare, benign apocrine tumour occurring mainly in the anogenital region of female patients between 20 and 90 years of age (Raiteb and Kouach 2017, Birge et al. 2021). It has also been reported in extragenital regions such as the breast (Kondo et al. 2018), head, chest, and abdomen (Jovic et al. 2021). An accurate diagnosis may be challenging since it is pathologically very similar to other dermatological benign tumours (Patel et al. 2020), therefore the actual prevalence and incidence are unknown.
