Beregovo Au-Ag-Pb-Zn ore field (Intercarpathian): ore review and genesis

For this stage in sulfide aggregates there were two ranges of the sequentially forming minerals: (1) pyrargyrite–polybasite–acanthite; (2) bournonite–fahlore–chalcopyrite. They were differently distributed in the ore aggregates. So, when bournonite was formed in galena in the front of crystallizing pyrargyrite or polybasite, tetrahedrite and chalcopyrite precipitated in(on) Fe-enriched sphalerite as thin emulsion, veinlets, cockade and fine-grained aggregates. Tetrahedrite is the last sulfosalt forming abundant intergrowths in galena.

Stage 4 (quartz + antimony–lead–silver sulfosalt minerals) hosts the majority of the Sb–Ag mineralisation in the Zhaxikang deposit with massive (Figure 3m), needle-like (Figure 3n) and veined (Figure 3o) ore textures. The main antimony–lead–silver sulfosalt minerals are boulangerite, jamesonite, bournonite, tetrahedrite and andorite.
