In fact, this relationship between academia and industry, which is apparently distinct and sometimes conflicting, is imperative. Although they are based on different assumptions, they contribute to achieving the same objective, in a complementary process that stimulates, almost as a continuous challenge, the development of constant improvements in each of these areas. In this sense, the authors Tanure and Kistmann (2010, apud A2D Org) propose, for the implementation in the business market, the tactical design manager that “acts mainly as a facilitator between the design sector and the other sectors of the company, promoting the integration and exchange of knowledge and information in product development”. Fashion design is a discipline that is based on the production of fashion artifacts aimed at satisfying the physical and sensorial needs of the users, led by the social and cultural dimensions that provide a greater and better identification of the users with the products. Ana Paula Miranda (2014) refers that cloths are imperative items in the social construction of identity, and a silent language where individuals communicate through the use of these visual and nonverbal symbols and signs. Some aspects of design, where the user recognizes himself and considers being able to assume them as elements that represent his personality, as a specific aesthetic, for example, are essential aspects in design, which often overlap with other equally important but less visible and socially less important.

Similarly, the periodic oscillations with damping or arousing, over a specific period of time, can better depict the raise and fall in the field of fashion industry. This process can be better interpreted with the aid of the schematic 1. It is obvious that the fashion industry is under the influence of numerous constraints, including the consumer’s shift, the digitalization and the sustainability. The consumer’s shift is mostly reflected by the change in demand of the product and is associated with the shift in an individual desire to purchase a specific brand or product. There are several factors (such as the income levels, the variation in price or choice) linked to the consumer’s shift, that can trigger its impact on the fashion industry (Bani-Yaghoub, 2017; Zhang, Zhang, & Zhou, 2021).Digitalization is the approach that is used from manufacturing until the post production. This approach helps the designers to work more creatively, while presenting novel collections and ideas to the consumers. The digitalization is used as a successful technology in the field of fashion and design. It helped in ditching the traditional consumer segments and the geographic restrictions over the past few years and now everyone can purchase from any part of the world, online.Sustainability in the field of fashion design refers to the important concept that the production of clothing (from raw material to manufacturing), wearing and disposing, must be environment friendly. Since globally, the fashion industry contribute a large amount to the emission of the dangerous gases, that contribute to the global warming.
