A drinking fountain is a fixture that includes a bowl with a drain and a cold domestic water source, usually in the form of a “bubbler” spout with a faucet-like handle. There is no refrigeration to chill the water in a drinking fountain, so we actually see very few true drinking fountains today. They are available as individual wall-mounted, pedestal-mounted (indoor and outdoor) units, and wall-and pedestal-mounted groups.

Daily treatment in the semi-extensive serpentarium consists of cleaning the bays, checking the temperature and humidity, which needs to vary between 25ºC and 28ºC and between 50% and 60%, respectively. The correct amperage of the floor heating system is required to observe the general condition of the animals. The external drinking fountains are supplied with running water and cleaned weekly with soap and water.
