Two standard soil types, LUFA Speyer 2.1 (sand) and 2.2 (loamy sand) were obtained from Landwirtschaftliche Untersuchungs- und Forschungsanstalt Speyer, Germany (LUFA Speyer, 2017). A gasoline sample (octane number 98) was obtained from a service station in Berlin, Germany, and a kerosene sample (JET A) from a Berlin airport. A “white gas” (cleaning gasoline, high boiling) was provided by a local fuel supplier.
