Oxazolidine

Oxazolidine is a chemical compound formed by the reaction of secondary amines with formaldehyde, such as 2-amino-2-methyl propanol, resulting in the formation of a specific oxazolidine, such as 4,4 dimethyl 1,3 oxazolidine. Oxazolidine-based inhibitors have nitrogen and oxygen heteroatoms separated by a carbon atom, in a heterocyclic structure. To the best of our knowledge, there are only a few reported studies in which some oxazolidine derivatives (oxa-azaspiro and isoxazolidine compounds) were shown to be effective inhibitors against corrosion (Alhaffar et al. 2018; Ali et al. 2005; Sk Ali et al. 2003; Wazzan et al. 2019).
