A study conducted in Scotland found that most occupational accident cases were falling from heights, and falls from scaffoldings were the most frequent involving this type [3]. In a particular study carried out in Turkey, it was reported that 46.7% of all falling from height accidents involved roofs, platforms and tiling, with 20% in scaffolding accidents [41]. In many studies, it has been widely concluded that falling is the most recurrent occupational fatality in the construction industry, in particular falls from ladders, scaffolds and structural gaps located in the worksites and buildings [2,42].
