The material (wet food in powder or granular form) to be processed is fed into the hopper, and the feeding rate is being regulated by a rotary feeder. The vertical riser is the main component of the dryer, which is used to convey the preheated air‐grain mixer in the upward direction, due to the drag force of the blower motor, is placed at the end of the conveying line. During the transportation of air-grain mix through the riser, heat is transferred from the hot air to the food grains. Due to this heat transfer, water evaporates from the particles, which significantly reduces the residual moisture content of the food particles. The dried air-grain mixer from the riser end is then passed through a cyclone, separating the powder contained in the air. After that, the air is passed through a bag filter to remove any particles left before the air can be discharged.
