Copper oxide (CuOx) is a popular semiconductor material. Typically, copper oxide can be found as copper monoxide (CuO) and cuprous oxide (Cu2O), and it has a metastable paramelaconite (Cu4O3) crystal form.1 These crystal phases are promising materials due to their good electrical and optical properties, low-toxicity, abundance in nature, cost-effectiveness, high absorption coefficient in the visible range, chemical stability in various atmospheres, etc.1,2
