Hlrecapnet: Convnet to Detect High and Low-Resolution Screen Captured Images
Published in Durgesh Kumar Mishra, Nilanjan Dey, Bharat Singh Deora, Amit Joshi, ICT for Competitive Strategies, 2020
To dodge the available forensic systems and hide the image manipulations, attackers moved a step forward; now they used to recapture a falsied image in dierent ways [1]: 1) Images can be displayed on a screen and captured again via high-quality cameras (known as Screen-Captured images). 2) It can be printed and captured again (known as Printed-Captured images). 3) The image displayed on a screen and a screen-shot can be taken (known as Screenshots). 4) An image can be printed and then scanned (known as Printed-Scanned images). The recapturing process is like a certicate of authenticity to a falsied image, by masking the tampering artifacts that leads to a failure of forensic tools. One can not distinguish between an Original and Recaptured image by seeing with a naked eye [3]. Although traces of forgeries are altered by the recapturing process, there exist some characteristics such as Aliasing, Blurring, Color-Contrast non-uniformity, Double JPEG compression and Noise are present that can be used to dierentiate the images as Original and Recaptured.
Easy-to-implement multidimensional spline interpolation with application to ship design optimisation
Published in Ship Technology Research, 2018
The three base designs have been produced using the free software FREE!ship, currently available at the URL https://sourceforge.net/projects/freeship/. FREE!ship is a surface modelling program for designing ships yachts and boats, developed to offer an alternative to hullform definition programs based on NURB surface modelling. FREE!ship uses subdivision surfaces instead: in the opinion of the developer, they offer many advantages over NURB surfaces. A number of plug-in are also included, so that displacement, sectional area curve, LCB and LCG are immediately provided and under control: these features make the design tool very helpful in preliminary design. A screenshot of the software is presented in Figure 12.
