The settings of the smart pole system are accessed by remote web applications. Using mobile and web applications the lighting profile of a single smart pole or group of smart poles can be controlled. It is also possible to set the brightness level of LED light on a smart pole. Furthermore, the consumer can estimate information associated with the traffic intensity, consumption of current, energy saving, weather conditions, classification, and other alarms. The Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is used to increase the privacy security and the reliability of the data swapped while in transfer. Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) adds a security layer on the transit data through a transport layer security (TLS) or secure socket layer (SSL) protocol. HTTPS is an advanced version of the HTTP. The HTTPS enables the secure connection and encrypted communication between the web server and remote users.
Communication Modules and Protocols

The Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a communication protocol for secure communication over a computer network, which is widely used on the Internet (Alani 2014; Edwards and Bramante 2009). HTTPS consists of communications over HTTP within a connection encrypted by Transport Layer Security (TLS) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols. HTTPS provides an authentication of the visited Website and protection of the privacy and integrity of the exchanged data. Moreover, HTTPS provides bidirectional encryption of communications between a client and server, which protects against eavesdropping and tampering with or forging the contents of the communication by any third party. Therefore, HTTPS connections are used for payment transactions on the World Wide Web, e-mail, sensitive transactions in corporate information systems, protecting page authenticity on all types of Websites, securing accounts and keeping user communications, identity and web browsing private. HTTPS uses port 443.
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)
Published in Hossam Fattah, LTE™ Cellular Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), 2021
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is a protocol for World Wide Web (WWW) communication between web clients and servers. Communication between client computers and web servers is done by sending HTTP requests and receiving HTTP responses. Clients are often browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari), but they can be any type of program or device. Servers can be in the cloud. HTTPS is the secure version of HTTP. HTTPS is encrypted in order to increase security of data transfer. Every time you visit a website starting with HTTPS, a public/private key encryption is being used. It is the basis of SSL and TLS encryption, which is employed for HTTPS communications. In this chapter, you will learn how to use HTTP and HTTPS using the NB board.

In recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology, information communication methods and transmission channels are also increasingly rich, information security has become an important issue. But image information, as a kind of special data, are transmitted through the Internet in the form of plaintext, and its security needs to be solved urgently. In order to prevent the image information from being stolen, tampered and intercepted during transmission, it is necessary to encrypt it to a certain extent. At present, the common data encryption algorithms include symmetric algorithms such as AES, DES and asymmetric algorithms such as RSA. The commonly used encryption protocol in the Internet is TLS, which is used in the HTTPS communication protocol. These algorithms are widely used, but the image information is a kind of information with large amount of data, strong correlation and high redundancy. It is necessary to design a targeted encryption algorithm based on these characteristics of the image information.

Afterwards, the obtained pre-processed point cloud is transmitted by Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) data communication protocol to the cloud layer for advanced processing aimed at the construction of the STL file. HTTPS encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) allows for secure communication through authentication, protection of the privacy and integrity of the exchanged data in transit.
