The mapping as well as the geomorphometric measurements and analysis was conducted on LiDAR-derived digital elevation models (©Lantmäteriet) in a Geographical Information System (GIS). The digital elevation model has a 2 m horizontal and 0.25 m vertical resolution and provide a “bare earth” view of the landscape, giving unprecedented possibilities for mapping and a great tool to study mesoscale landforms (Johnson et al. 2015). Multiple hillshade (0°,45°,315°) and slope derivatives of the elevation model was used to minimize the bias of hillshade azimuth direction.
