Occupational toxicology deals with toxic effects on the human organism caused by the use of a large number of chemicals.1 Occupational exposure to volatile agents typically occurs via inhalation. However, dermal exposure is relevant in some workplaces, including painting companies and gasoline stations2,3; this exposure makes painters and gasoline station attendants (GSA) highly susceptible to toxic effects.
