Colorectal cancer (CLC) is documented as the third most common cancer in the world. Liver metastasis is the most common site of colorectal metastases. The traditional hepatic resection operations are well-established local cure for CRC liver metastatic disease; however, only 10–15% CLM patients can undergo hepatectomy due to comorbidities, limited hepatic reserve, or disease extent. Image-guided techniques, both endovascular and ablative, have gained wide acceptance for the treatment of primary and metastatic malignancies of the liver, generally in selected patients with non-resectable disease.
