The Great Hippocrates also stated that understanding the nature of spine is very important. Due to wrong body posture or certain day-to-day activities, the normal alignment of the vertebrae gets disturbed, thereby resulting in serious health complications and even death. In such cases, the proper adjustment of the spine is important for addressing those complications. This statement is an indication that the Great Hippocrates presented the idea of chiropractic. Chiropractic is a form of treatment in which healing is achieved by the manipulation of the musculoskeletal system, especially spine. The major goals of these kinds of manipulations are to provide relief from pain, functional improvement of body parts, and triggering body’s inherent healing ability.

When asked whether they had visited a physician, physiotherapist or chiropractor the last 12 months, 42% of the participants answered positively as they had lower back pain symptoms. With reference to all three examined body parts (lower back, neck, and shoulder) from the statistical study (Table 3), it appears that the 2nd group is the one that tended to visit a physician, physiotherapist or chiropractor less often. This can be explained on the grounds of their age, which on average was comparatively older than that of the other three groups (Dimou et al. 2020) and their general attitude against visiting a doctor. When asked about the total time with trouble for more than 30 days (over the last 12 months), 17% of all participants gave positive answers. As we can also see from Figure 2, most respondents who belong to the 2nd group have an increased prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms mainly in the lower back and shoulder. These results are consistent with those of the statistical study (Table 3), where the same group (2nd group) is the one with the highest correlation. Also, from the results of Table 3 it is apparent that overweight employees, as determined by the Body Mass Index (BMI), seem to be the group that is less interested in changing their job or work activities. Overweight loggers happen to be the oldest employees, so it seems that their decision not to change job or work duties is explained in combination with age.
