European national public healthcare systems compared
Published in Linda Hantrais, Marie-Thérèse Letablier, Comparing and Contrasting the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the European Union, 2020

MISSOC tables for Health Care in 2020 show that government schemes are usually funded from general taxation and are conditional on legal/permanent residence. Insurance schemes involve varying levels of contributions from employers, employees and the self-employed as well as government subsidies. In addition, countries with decentralised or devolved healthcare systems (Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK) display regional differentiation in healthcare decision-making and delivery, which may hamper comparisons of data at national level, but which may help to explain how some national governments delegated responsibility for implementing COVID-19 measures adapted to meet local needs.
Sources of Essential Oils

Differences in the essential oil content and composition of chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita) have long been recognized due to the fact that the distilled oil is either dark blue, green, or yellow, depending on the prochamazulene content (matricin as prochamazulene in chamomile is transformed to the blue-colored artifact chamazulene during the distillation process). Recognizing also the great pharmacological potential of the bisabolols, a classification into the chemotypes (−)-α-bisabolol, (−)-α-bisabololoxide A, (−)-α-bisabololoxide B, (−)-α-bisabolonoxide (A), and (pro)chamazulene was made by Franz (1982, 1989a). Examining the geographical distribution revealed a regional differentiation, where an α-bisabolol—(pro) chamazulene population was identified on the Iberian peninsula; mixed populations containing chamazulene, bisabolol, and bisabololoxides A/B are most frequent in Central Europe, and prochamazulene—free bisabolonoxide populations are indigenous to southeast Europe and minor Asia. In the meantime, Wogiatzi et al. (1999) have shown for Greece and Taviani et al. (2002) for Italy a higher diversity of chamomile including α-bisabolol types. This classification of populations and chemotypes was extended by analyzing populations at the level of individual plants (Schröder, 1990) resulting in the respective frequency distributions (Figure 3.5).
Locale Matters: Regional Needs of U.S. Military Service Members and Veterans

To address the gap, a mixed-method needs assessment was conducted in a southeastern state, leveraging data from (a) focus groups with military and veteran-serving organization leadership members and (b) clients of a large, veteran-serving, nonprofit networking organization’s cases collected from self and provider referrals. We only know of one other study to create a comprehensive understanding of MSM and veteran needs, in which the authors performed a qualitative systematic review across multiple states in the U.S. (Van Slyke & Armstrong, 2020). The current study will be the first to assess veteran and MSM needs with a data-driven approach exclusively in a southeastern state with a large military presence. This study highlights the value of understanding regional differentiation across resource providers and resource-seekers.
Child Sexual Abuse by Members of the Catholic Church in Italy and France: A Literature Review of the Last Two Decades

The degree and effectiveness of criticism expressed by public opinion are certainly among these factors. In this sense, the assessment of cCSA represents a benchmark for the overall socio-cultural climate of a country, even more than for its specifically religious situation. Nonetheless, the study of local reactions to cCSA does not offer simple and straightforward explanations. For example, countries marked by secularism and/or religious pluralism do not necessarily manifest stronger repercussions than mono-confessional countries. The prominent counterexample of Ireland, whose historical background is almost entirely mono-confessional, entailing a strong link between national identity and Catholicism, where cCSA has had an enormous public resonance and massive concrete consequences in terms of religious decline, testifies to the need for multi-level analyses capable of revealing other elements that influence the regional differentiation of social receptions of cCSA.
A preliminary study of atypical cortical change ability of dynamic whole-brain functional connectivity in autism spectrum disorder
Published in International Journal of Neuroscience, 2022
For the robustness problem, brain activity states may probably be identified correctly with the appropriate Figure 1. The abbreviation of AAL-116 based regions and their systems are listed in the Appendix B (supplementary material). Notably, the regional differentiation and heterogeneity of normal brain cortex provides an underlying architectural basis for functional localization and specialization. The connections across these regions further stand for the coordinated approaches of functional integrations.
