Inspired from this rationale, we propose hepatoprotective and antimycobacterial co-drug in which INH is covalently linked via an amide bond to LA. We hypothesize that INH can be transiently disguised at the N2 center of hydrazinic chain in order to obstruct NAT-induced acetylation and CYP2E1 triggered oxidation. Specifically, this work includes synthesis of novel codrug, the study of its release kinetics, and bioevaluation of its hepatoprotective and antimycobacterial potential.
