Enhancing the roll dynamics of an AUV by contra-rotating-propellers

Among the number of developed AUVs, one of the most usual rigid-body types is Remus (Prestero 2001; Wu et al. 2018). The geometry is illustrated in Figure 1, and the geometric parameters are presented in Table 1. In a typical Remus, a single propulsor system is used for propulsion, while in this paper, a counter-rotating propeller system is utilised.
