Lithium in pegmatites of the Fennoscandian Shield and operation prospects for the Kolmozero deposit on the Kola Peninsula (Russia)

The main rock-forming minerals of pegmatites are represented by quartz, plagioclase, K-feldspar, spodumene and muscovite and contain a giant spodumene crystals up to 1.5 m long. Secondary minerals are columbite-tantalite, beryl, lithiophilite, biotite, tourmaline, apatite, spessartine, sphalerite, pyrite, lithium phosphates, zeolites.
