Calculating the cutting forces in five-axis milling was a more challenging task owing to the varying orientation of the tool axis with respect to the workpiece. In five-axis milling, the cutting forces can be measured in two ways: using a table-type dynamometer attached to the rotary table of the machine tool, or using a rotary dynamometer directly attached to the spindle of the machine tool, with the cutting tool attached to the dynamometer (Boz et al., 2012).
