Set-up plan and cutting tool selection are the two important activities associated with the tool path generation. Type of clamping, sequencing of operations in a set-up and tool approach direction (TAD) are the three important activities of set-up plan generation. Prismatic parts with features at any two opposite sides, axis symmetry parts that could be held in the chuck and parts having external and internal features at the right side are considered in this work in order to perform the operations in a single set-up. Vice jaw-type fixture for axis symmetry parts and angle plate-type fixtures for prismatic parts are used. TAD will be bottom to top side for micro turning and top to bottom side for micro drilling operation. TAD will be front to back side set-up or left to right side set-up arrangement for micro end milling operation (Leo Kumar, Jerald, and Kumanan 2014a).
