Wheelchairs are another commonly used ATDs for many people with physical disabilities. They are one of the first pieces of adaptive equipment prescribed for individuals with spinal cord injuries. They help to provide a sense of freedom and allow users to go to places that are accessible to wheelchairs. Wheelchairs enable people with disability to interact with their living and social surroundings including going to work, grocery shopping, and participating in social and community events (Bourret et al. 2002). There is a wide variety of commercially available wheelchairs that feature unique styles, weights, and performance capabilities. The choice of a wheelchair is largely dependent on the user’s needs, and his or her physical and cognitive conditions. Moreover, one must address the following questions: where the chair will be used, on what type of terrain, where the wheelchair will be stored, how will the user transport it, is the user involved in sports and recreational activities, can the user propel the chair independently, and what other function does the user want/need the chair to have?

Exempted hazardous substances can be found in both passenger luggage and personal belongings. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in checked luggage and personal belongings of passengers or crew, up to a maximum of 5 1 (net amount) in one container. Medical or toilet articles, whose total net quantity per passenger or crew member does not exceed 2 kg or 21, or when the net quantity of an individual item does not exceed 0.5 kg or 0.5 1 are allowed .3 This category of dangerous goods includes items such as hairspray, perfumes, and varnishes that contain alcohol. Ammunition for sports purposes is also excluded, if it is safely packed, and the maximum allowed amount of packages must not exceed 5 kg per passenger which should be placed only in checked luggage with the approval of the airline. It should be noted that explosive and flammable ammunition is not allowed to be transported in luggage. Dry ice belongs to the category of exempted hazardous substances if it is transported inthe amount of up to 2 kg per passenger and if it is used to store perishable items, but only in personal belongings. Matches and lighters are also allowed in personal belongings while charging for lighters is not allowed. Mercury barometers may be transported in the personal belongings of meteorological service representatives and need to be approved by the airline. They must be packed in a steady outer package, while the inner package must be sealed. It is also possible to use a bag made of a mercury impermeable material as the inner packaging. The captain of the aircraft must be provided with information related to such a barometer on the flight. Self-propelled wheelchairs can also be transported with the approval of the airline. They must be packed according to packing instructions, IATA DGR (IATA 2 021a), as checked baggage.

A wheelchair that can be customized with an adjustable rear axle position should be recommended due to the benefits of reducing rolling resistance, improving push kinematics, and reducing repetitive strain injury while also providing individualized seat to floor height measurements regardless of age. Care should be taken to assess propulsion methods, configuration measurements, propulsion efficiency, and wheelchair skill acquisition. The potential for increased time for wheelchair skill testing and training may exist specifically in long-term care facilities where previous experience of the skills is extremely limited (C. Smith & Kirby, 2015).
