Internationalization and localization. I18n and l10n are means of adapting products such as publications, or software for non-native environments, especially for other languages, nations and cultures. Internationalization is the adaptation of products for potential use virtually everywhere. Localization is the addition of special features for use in a specific community or area. Important features that support localization are: language translation, special support for certain languages, automatic transformation to local customs, content, symbols, aesthetics, cultural values and social context. Internationalization and localization software development pose challenging tasks for developers, particularly if the software is not designed from the beginning with these concerns in mind. A common practice is to separate textual data and other environment-dependent resources from the program code. A locale is defined as a set of parameters that defines user’s language, country and any special preference that the user wants to see in the user interface. Thus, in an ideal situation, supporting a different environment only requires to change those separate resources, no code modification is needed. The development team must include professional able to understand foreign languages and cultures, and with technical background.

locale a designation of mechanisms that customizes the behavior of a program to support local variation. Typically, these deal with internationalization issues, such as representations of dates and times, but in addition may extend to the character set permitted, the collating sequence used, and the like. Compilers and runtime systems often need to be either locale-independent or locale-aware.

Finally, the best-fitted semivariogram models are characterized by semivariogram parameters such as nugget (C0), sill (C0 + C1), and range (C2), yield spatial prediction at unknown locale from the observed values using weighted least square method.
