For mobile users, traveling often involves downtime, sitting on a plane or in an airport or hotel lobby. FBReader is an ebook reader included with Ubuntu MID. FBReader works on Linux, Windows XP/Vista, FreeBSD, and various other Linux-based mobile operating systems. FBReader is distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL. It supports many ebook formats, such as fb2 ebook format, HTML, CHM, plucker, Palmdoc, zTxt,TCR, RTF, OpenReader, and plain text format. Direct reading from tar, zip, gzip, and bzip2 archives is also supported. FBReader can perform automatic library building, and automatic language and character encoding detection is also supported. Many organizations make considerable gains from the worldwide growth of the use of electronic books (e-books).1–6 In general, e-books are defined as digitized versions of paper-based books that can be delivered on a variety of electronic platforms, ranging from PCs to mobile devices.4,6 That is because the Internet, other networks, and the emergence of smart phones have transformed individuals’ reading experiences, making e-books an increasingly popular platform for delivering reading materials.2,5,6 The growing interest in the use of e-books is also playing a tremendous role in many academic disciplines including accounting.6 Accounting education is one of the most important academic disciplines as it plays a significant role, from an economical point of view, in many colleges and universities.7 Therefore, academic executives have been giving increased attention to accounting courses and their use of interactive learning technologies, which are heavily incorporated into accounting education.8
