Rapid Application Development in Cloud Computing with IoT
Published in Abid Hussain, Garima Tyagi, Sheng-Lung Peng, IoT and AI Technologies for Sustainable Living, 2023
In recent years, the rapid development of applications has increased dramatically. The development of innovation and the integration of advanced technology into the enterprise must be an important factor in the rapid development of application development. A RAD method allows developers and designers to use the discoveries and knowledge gained during the development process to make plans and completely change the direction of the software.

rapid application development (RAD) a technique in which users and developers interact within a workshop environment. RAD aims to facilitate, in a relatively short period of time, the development of the software system by identification of a readily agreed set of requirements in a collaborative manner.

RAD – Rapid Application Development tools are tools that stimulate the visual design of a graphical interface and have a high rate of component reuse to produce an application in the shortest time possible. After selecting the tools, the external risk factors (natural disasters, political factors, economic factors, social factors, and cultural factors) and internal factors (participants, software components, operation and maintenance, and supply chain) were considered. For each, a questionnaire was developed with items listed by risk factor and by country to analyse the software supply chain.
