RSA PKCS #1 v1.5. The RSA Laboratories Public-Key Cryptography Standard (PKCS) #1 version 1.5, issued in 1993, utilizes a variant of padded RSA encryption. For a public key pk = 〈N, e〉 of the usual form, let k denote the length of N in bytes; i.e., k is the integer satisfying 28(k−1) ≤ N ≤ 28k.
