With the booming market in social and mobile applications, we will encounter many more opportunities to interact with our customers in real time while they are using our product or service or about to purchase it. ‘Internet etiquette' is also known as ‘netiquette'. Netiquette means showing good behavior while working online, much like etiquette is a way of courteous behavior in society. Online chat, e-mail, website comments, social media, online forums, multiplayer gaming, and other modes of communicating online are all included in this category. There are no official rules or principles of netiquette, the overall concept is to treat others respectfully and politely when using the internet (Google). The following are the examples of netiquette norms to follow:Avoid making aggressive or disrespectful remarks on the internet.Do not invade the privacy of people by revealing sensitive information, images, or audio-video that they do not want to be shared over the internet.Never send excessive amounts of spam e-mails to others.Show good sportsmanship, whether you win or lose, when playing online games.Refrain from humiliating people online in the form of comments or by bothering or aggravating them constantly.When participating in online conversation or posting comments on photographs or videos, on different platforms such as YouTube or Facebook, always stay on topic.Do not use obscene words.Replying to unfavorable comments with additional abusive words comments is not a good idea. Instead, use a positive post to interrupt the loop.Others who assist you online should be thanked (Tech Terms, 2017).
