Image inpainting states the process of sealing the cracked area in images. Image inpainting is a significant step in various image editing applications. Moreover, this process fills the holes in an image after destructing irrelevant objects from the image. Hence, various techniques have been developed for filling the missed region in an image. Thus, the efficient image inpainting approach must provide the inpainting image as reasonable. Amongst the other things, the nonexistence of a fine model in the filled area is exceptional that somewhat is amiss, particularly when the remaining area of the image has sharp information. There are numerous image inpainting approaches have been devised by researchers, and they produce blurry or over-smoothed regions, and they failed to regenerate the accurate image [1]. Image inpainting helps to fill the missing regions in a scratched image by applying the appropriate mask [2]. This process provides a great focus and become an active topic in research for decades [3–5], since best quality image [6, 7] inpainting can profit a wide range of applications, like the restoration of an old photo, removal of objects and so on [8]. The best quality image inpainting [9, 10] approach needs to fill the misplaced region in the image [11, 12] with reasonable information.

The reproducibility of the camera should be checked as well. This can be done easily in a stable indoor scene, under a non-flickering (see 3.2) light source. The camera is set on the tripod and remotely controlled by the computer to ensure immobility. An LDR image is captured for each pertinent lens aperture with all other settings fixed. Without changing the situation nor moving the camera, a second series of LDR images is captured for each previous aperture and the exact same settings. In an image editing software, the LDR images can be analyzed pixel by pixel. If non-black corresponding pixels in two LDR images of same aperture have the same RGB values, the images captured by the camera are reproducible. This test could also be conducted by varying the exposure time instead of the lens aperture.

Authentication of digital documents becomes very important due to the ease of editing with available softwares. Nowadays, most important documents are digitized and stored for future purposes. This increases the possibility of image editing and copying. Hence, how to prevent the integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality has become a major challenge. Various methods have been proposed as solutions to this problem. They include data hiding, watermarking, digital signature embedding, etc. Previously using of such techniques led to the distortion of the original image and hence became perceptual to human eyes. Eventhough it decreases the false acceptance of document images, it causes degradation of quality. Therefore, most important concern is to provide visually imperceptible modification to the document images. If the part of the image is found out as tampered, then there are ways by which repairing can be provided to the altered image. Such authentication and self-repairing can be applicable in the protection of document images in many fields like scanned checks, signed documents, last will, circuit diagrams, and so on.
