Trachyte is an igneous, extrusive volcanic rock with an aphanitic to porphyritic texture. The mineral assemblage is predominately potassium feldspar with relatively minor plagioclase. It is a fine-grained volcanic rock of syenitic composition.

XRD analysis of the masonry stone shows large amounts of K-feldspar and quartz, and very small amounts of plagioclase. Given that it is mainly composed of feldspar minerals it could be an igneous rock such as Trachyte, which is very common throughout the study area.
