In 1987, the World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) released the report “Our common Future”, the report defines sustainable development as ”a development model that can meet the needs of contemporary people and ensure that it will not harm future generations”, this definition has been recognized by most countries in the world. Development, environmental protection, economic development and human beings are the core, important content, purpose and centrosome of sustainable development. Sustainable development is the development mode of harmonious coexistence between human and nature (Shang 2000). In 1993, Dr Charles Cabot proposed the concept of “sustainable architecture” based on the principle of sustainable development. Sustainable architecture refers to the construction projects guided by the concept of sustainable development. The essence of sustainable architecture is energy-saving and emission reduction, which is conducive to the health of residents (Sun 2016). The Chinese government has promulgated a series of documents, including The Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Promoting the Sustainable and Healthy Development of the Construction Industry, the Outline of the 13th Five Year Plan for Housing and Urban Rural Construction, and the 13th Five Year Plan for the Development of the Construction Industry, to promote the reform of the construction industry, accelerate the industrial upgrading, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the construction industry.
