Apart from the amount of alcohol consumption, the pattern of drug consumption also must be monitored. Alcohol use disorder in individuals leads to several health issues, and an alcohol withdrawal syndrome may persist that is a life-threatening condition [11]. Benzodiazepines are the most effective medicine for the same, but it is required to manage the treatment protocols for alcohol withdrawal syndrome (AWS) well. Alcohol use disorder and psychiatric disorder co-occur most often. People who suffer from anxiety or depression are most likely to consume alcohol at an alarming rate, which results in serious health problems [12]. Cognitive behavior therapy can be very effective in treating patients, who suffer from alcohol abuse and depression [13]. Proper screening approaches need to be implemented to prevent the harmful effects of alcohol abuse.
