To date, smoking cessation is known as the only significant way to stop and reverse smoking damages. Consistent with the mentioned targets of SDG 3, comprehensive national and international programs and activities are being implemented all over the world to promote smoking cessation and to make it easier for smokers to stop smoking (Lyall et al.2020, Luepker 2021, Radakrishnan et al.2021).
