However, it is quite difficult to design and manufacture facial implants using manual methods since the numerous measurements and waiting times are required to get the final version of the implant for the surgery. The process of manual implant is not only time-consuming but also very expensive and challenging. Implant designers, manufacturers and doctors should contribute their efforts to get the task done which cost a lot of time and money.

This contribution reviewed different kinds of facial implants, its designing and manufacturing. Every patient has a different kind of requirement, in every case designer need to design each part for each patient according to their data from CT or MRI scans.
