Food Packaging
Published in Dennis R. Heldman, Daryl B. Lund, Cristina M. Sabliov, Handbook of Food Engineering, 2018
Packaging designer’s checklists, Gantt charts, and dividing the packag e design process into technical, manufacturing and engineering, marketing, and purchasing and traffic responsibilities help organize the multidisciplinary responsibilities involved (IoPP, 2014c). Integration of all of the design activities in a concurrent or simultaneous manner can allow achievement of goals in a shorter time period (Raper and Borchelt, 1997). Package design can be aided by the utilization of design software such as Computer-Assisted Packaging Evaluation (CAPE Systems) and Total Optimization Packaging Software (TOPS Engineering Corp.). The concept of Quality Function Deployment can also be applied to package design to efficiently incorporate the views of customers and prioritize their needs (Raper and Borchelt, 1997).

The primary findings of this study include the optimal efficiency of Qingdao Port and the trend of rapid development of Ningbo Zhoushan and Shanghai Yangshan ports. As the starting port of the twenty-first Century Maritime Silk Road in northern China, Qingdao Port has implemented numerous measures to improve operation level and efficiency. For example, this port has promoted several capital cooperation projects with many Global 500 transnational companies and cross-regional cooperation with several inland and coastal cities locally and overseas. Furthermore, the construction of two full-automatic wharfs is also an important contributor. As the largest automated port in the world, Shanghai Yangshan has professional management, mature production and organization system, perfect TOPS computer management system, full-automatic bank handing facilities, operation equipment in stacking yards, and high-quality professional talents, which greatly contribute to its operation efficiency. Ningbo Zhoushan Port is located at the intersection of the Belt and the Road, and the proposal of BRI entails numerous opportunities for its development.
A multi-track rail model for estimating journey impacts from extreme weather events: a case study of Great Britain’s rail network

On the rail network in Great Britain, Network Rail uses a system called TRUST (Train Running System TOPS [Total Operation Processing System]) to record the details of train operational data and scheduled train times, supporting the logging of delays and its associated attribution process. The TRUST system comprises four essential parts [12]:
