In the French pavement design method, as in many other methods, simplified pavement layer interface conditions are considered: the interfaces are assumed either fully bonded or fully sliding. In a first step, calculations have been made with ALIZE, with these two assumptions, and with pavement layer moduli corresponding to those determined from the initial on-site measurements (see §3), adjusted for temperature. The calculations have been carried for a five-axle semi-trailer truck, with axle loads corresponding to those used for the on-site tests, and a total load of 43 tons.
