A new class of composite materials was developed for detonation spraying of protective coatings, consisting of a metal matrix and containing as a strengthening dispersed phase synthesized nanosized (grain size of about 15–40 nm) ceramic particles uniformly distributed in the volume. The scientific foundations have been developed for the production of multicomponent composites by the mechanochemical method: TiC + UDD + Ni-Cr, TiC + WC + Ni-Cr, TiB2 + WC + Ni-Cr, TiB2 + Cu, TiB2 + Ti-Ni, TiB2 + Ti-Al3 [8].
