Student self-reported use of standards-based grading resources and feedback

In Spring 2016, SBG rubrics (as described below) were used to assess student work on problems sets and exams. The project milestones were graded with criterion-referenced but non-SBG rubrics in Spring 2016 and SBG rubrics in Spring 2017. Teamwork was managed via the CATME SMARTER Teamwork System (Loughry, Ohland, and Woehr 2014) and teamwork skills were assessed using the CATME behaviourally anchored rating scale for self- and peer evaluation (Ohland et al. 2012) and verified by instructor observations, though there were a few teamwork skills related assignments graded based on completion. The remaining ‘other’ assignments were graded based on completion. All grading for this course was completed through Blackboard Learn™ (online course management system).
