Wake-on-LAN (WoL) is a network technology that allows a computer to be remotely turned on or awakened from a shallow power mode, such as hibernate or shutdown, through the use of a small network message known as a magic packet. Wake on LAN (WoL) [10] is an industry-standard protocol for waking computers up from a shallow power mode (hibernate/ shutdown) remotely by a small network message (magic packet). WoL message is usually sent by a program (or a user working on another computer that is present on the same LAN) to enable dynamic wake up.
