Published in International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction, 2022
Google assisted language learning (GALL), introduced by Chinnery (2008), refers to Google as a collaborative and communicative tool that supports online and blended language learning. Google Cloud and Google apps (Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Form, YouTube, etc.) are pedagogical tools that are communicative, informative, productive, and collaborative (Abdel-Reheem Amin, 2020). Google offers many tools that provide learners with opportunities to collaborate from anywhere and at any time (Covili, 2012). Google Cloud and Google apps function to strengthen the use of ICTs in instructing and powering education fields (Ni, 2020). The lecturer can use Google apps as ICT tools to create psychological and pedagogical conditions aimed at constructing a favorable environment for students’ successful development (Korobeinikova et al., 2020). The benefits of using ICT tools are as follows. ICT tools (1) increase the informative capacity of educational content, (2) increase the pace of training actions, (3) apply active methods and forms of training, (4) apply a wide range of electronic training tools, and (5) provide a student with an individual educational path (Korobeinikova et al., 2020).
