Cyclic executive scheduling is one of the earliest schemes that is realised in the real-time operating system between the 1970s and 1980s [22], especially for hard RT tasks. When the system is complex, it is regarded as inflexibile and difficult to maintain. The rate monotonic scheduling (RMS) and the earliest deadline first (EDF) were proposed to overcome these difficulties to assign priority dynamically based on the characteristics of tasks. In the case of RMS, the tasks with the shortest period are assigned the highest priority [23–26].
