Similar to mucosal erosions, cutaneous lesions are flaccid, thin blisters that rupture easily, resulting in extensive erosions and crusting. In PF, the cutaneous lesions tend to affect seborrheic sites (including the scalp, face, neck, chest, upper trunk, and flexural areas) [13]. Scalp lesions can be severe and may be associated with anagen hair shedding [14,15]. Although urticarial lesions are most commonly associated with BP, they may also appear in the early stages of rare cases of pemphigus which present as pemphigus herpetiformis [16].
