Apart from the influences on the system responses, parameters are also critical factors to impact the performances of the system dynamics control and observation [27]. Specifically, the vehicle system parameter estimation has received considerable attentions. Wenzel [28] proposed dual filter structure for lateral vehicle model. Parameters of sprung mass, yaw inertia and distance from the front axle to the C.G. were estimated by one filter, and system observation was obtained from another. Rozyn [29] used modal analysis techniques to estimate the sprung mass inertial parameters including mass, moments of inertia and C.G. position. It can be found that different types of system parameters were estimated in the aforementioned literature. Nevertheless, what parameters are more important for vehicle control and observation was less investigated.
