Profiler (Kandel et al., 2012) applies data mining methods to automatically flag problematic data and suggests coordinated summary visualizations to assess the data in context. A visualization tool provided by Mizoguchi (2000) uses a hyperbolic tree, in order to aid system administrators in error analysis. Dhambri et al. (2008) introduced a complementary automatic anomaly detection approach that employs user judgment when automatic decisions are difficult to make.
