The COVID-19 has greatly affected the labour market, even in big and developed economies, such as the United States. There has been a decrease in employment in upper and lower lines of labour by approximately 9% and 35%, respectively. The employment rate has gone down by almost 22% consisting of a decline of three times the new peak to trough changes that happened due to the Pandemic. Business suspensions have added to increased costs. The effect has created an alarming situation (Cajner et al., 2020).
