This module interacted with the operating system interface, created data files in the file system by the I/O interface and continuously wrote data streams to achieve data persistence storage. In order to write the three-axis acceleration data and positioning data into a text file to ensure that the data can be stored persistently, the persistent writing form of each data should be specified. The formatted data of each line is stored in the writing form of ‘ %acce_x% %acce_y% %acce_z% %gps_lo % %gps_la% %gps_sp% %gps_mo%\r\n ’, namely, x-axis acceleration, y-axis acceleration, z-axis acceleration, longitude, latitude, driving speed, test time + Carriage return + line feed and data are separated by spaces for subsequent data extraction and analysis, as shown in Figure 1.

Application layer protocols are more complex and flexible than IPv4 and TCP protocols. The content of the header of HTTP protocol is an ASCII-encoded string, and the length of each field is not fixed, with the space character (Space, SP) as the separator. The header of HTTP protocol can be divided into a start line and a message header, with Carriage Return and Linefeed (CRLF) as the boundary (Fielding et al., 2006).

The developed VIS also sends a carriage-return line feed combination after a reply line on the serial and USB ports. All the command and responses on either a USB or serial connection are sent to other connections as well. There is no prioritisation between the different control ports, i.e. the latest command overrides previous one as illustrated in Figure 1.
