Ideation – Aligning Projects with Strategy
Published in Te Wu, Optimizing Project Management, 2020
OPM is a structure in which project, program, and portfolio management are incorporated with organizational enablers for accomplishing strategic goals and objectives.2 For organizations, OPM is an important contributor to the achievement of strategic goals and objectives. The purpose of OPM is to ensure that the organization is executing on the right projects, in the right way. Project management is integrated into organizational planning, operations, and change in the form of projects, programs, and portfolios, and the project management office (PMO) is then established to align their execution to the broader organizational strategy. The way in which project, program, and portfolio management each contributes to organizational strategy is unique.

The 2nd stage is to analyze conventional ship by conceptual modeling language, Object Process Methodology (OPM). Output of this stage is OPM modeling of conventional ship. OPM can model things in the form of object and process. Rectangle is “Object”, oval is “Process”, white triangle is “Generalization-Specialization”, bidirectional arrows is “Effect link”, and black dot is “Agent link”. We adopt Crawley’s writing style (Crawley 2016).
Research on key technologies of UAV cluster cooperative system for Internet of Things applications
Published in Journal of Control and Decision, 2022
This article aims to analyse the effectiveness of UAV clusters in the continuous reconnaissance process. The assumed background is that multiple near-ground reconnaissance UAV clusters conduct continuous reconnaissance cruises in a specific area. The purpose of continuous reconnaissance is to maintain control of the situation information of the reconnaissance area. In the process of reconnaissance, the influence of factors such as weather and equipment is ignored. In the continuous reconnaissance process, each UAV clusters independently judge the reconnaissance target information and independently carry out the dynamic heavy deployment of the quantity and the reconnaissance range. Moreover, this paper uses Object-Process Methodology (OPM) to analyse cluster reconnaissance behaviour, as shown in Figure 4 below.

Methods for architectural PD are well established in research and industry. Some examples are Axiomatic Design Method, Object Process Methodology, and Design Structure Matrix (DSM) (Suh 1998; Dori 2002; Fixson 2005; Tilstra, Seepersad, and Wood 2012; Jung and Simpson 2017). DSM is more commonly used in industry because of its flexibility in modelling different PD and non-PD attributes and visualising the clustering results (e.g. Behncke, Walter, and Lindemann 2014). DSM can either use binary or numerical values in a matrix to map functional or relational interactions between parts. In industry, the functionalities of DSM have been further developed and used in specialised software tools (e.g. METUS) that provide advanced user interfaces as well as connections to data analytics tools.
