A weaker form of NC, known as the parallel computation thesis, is stated as follows:Anything that can be computed on a Turing machine using polynomially (polylogarithmically) bounded space in unlimited time can be computed on a parallel machine in polynomial (polylogarithmic) time using an unlimited number of processors, and vice versa.

For NC, CS, P and C peaks are also observed. The pattern of NC-HC shows that CS peaks are still present and with an intensity closed to the ones of NC powder. The same hydration issue as for FL-HC seems to occur. However, hydrate aluminates peak (A) is visible, aluminate anhydrous phases are then hydrated. For this binder the content of Portlandite is lower than for FL (Table 2) and the Portlandite is totally consumed in NC-HC. For mortar NC-Mo, CS peaks are smaller than for NC-HC but still observable. NC anhydrous phases are mainly C2S, with a hydration lasting months. That is why calcium silicate peaks are also visible in NC-Mo XRD spectra. C2S hydration reaction produces less Portlandite than C3S, explaining why the Portlandite peak do not increase as for FL-Mo.

The spontaneous values, polarisation and tilt angle have been measured within the SmC* phase on cooling. The temperature dependences of the spontaneous polarisation, PS(T), and spontaneous tilt angle, θS(T), have been evaluated. The results are presented in Figure 6(a, b) for PS(T) and θS(T), respectively. The values of PS reached 140 nC/cm2 for 12CZL and 180 nC/cm2 for 10CZL. Below the temperature of 40°C, we were not able to switch the sample by applied electric field and follow the measurements on cooling. The tilt angle values are rather high and for 10CZL θS reaches 44 degrees.

The main task in reliability analysis is to calculate the Pnc. Since the non-compliance occurs when the supply falls short of the demand (i.e.,), the Pnc can be calculated as follows: where Pnc is the probability of non-compliance; is the joint probability density function (PDF) for the random variables, and the integration is performed over the domain where D exceeds S.
