Flexible information integration architecture based on cloud native technologies for large cruise ships
Published in Selma Ergin, C. Guedes Soares, Sustainable Development and Innovations in Marine Technologies, 2022
This keynote proposes a service-oriented flexible information integration platform based on cloud native technology. The platform achieves the sharing of information resources and the unified scheduling of service resources among the various business platforms of large cruise ships. This research establishes a unified service framework for cruise applications and realizes cross-language and cross-platform service calls based on service mesh. The micro front-end frameworks are proposed to overcome the inability of display and control devices to share resources. The unified data representation and management method is proposed to realize the data integration of the entire ship. The application integration development specification is designed to enable rapid development of cruise ship applications. Finally, considering the lack of a professional operation and maintenance team for the cruise application platform, the application of lightweight automated OAM technology is proposed to ensure the stable operation of the service in the deployment and operation stages.
The Integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Immersive Technologies (ImTech) for Digital Twin Implementation in the AECO/FM Industry
Published in Ibrahim Yitmen, BIM-enabled Cognitive Computing for Smart Built Environment, 2021
Since immersive technologies have high capability in simulation and visualization, they are used for various purposes in the AECO/FM industry. The emergence of BIM technology enriches the nD modeling capability and information integration. Along with this development, VR solutions ease communication and visualization over the building prototype in the virtual environment. Developments in immersive technology use in the AECO/FM industry have a wide range of research areas and are in need of further attention. The integration of BIM and immersive technologies has achieved considerable success. There are researches focusing on automation in construction monitoring (Rahimian et al., 2020; Kopsida and Brilakis, 2020; Love et al., 2011) and design validation for complex projects (Jin et al., 2020; Wolfartsberger, 2019; Wang et al., 2014). However, construction planning and management field research shows lack of application as seen in the literature. There are four types of immersive technology further explained in the following pages.
The research about the architecture of Cims on the basis of product-supply-line
Published in Heping Xie, Yuehan Wang, Yaodong Jiang, Computer Applications in the Mineral Industries, 2020

The construction of CIMS system in enterprise can be considered from both aspects of lengthways and crossways. From the point of lengthways, all relevant enterprises are considered to be connected dynamically or statically by a product-supply-line. From the point of crossways, the information integration built on product-supply-line in each enterprise can be implemented with CSCW technology, artificial intelligence, database technology and so on. It changes with the product-supply-line, and every enterprise on the line is regarded as a virtual enterprise. All of them can be described and indicated by the information that the computer can recognize. In fact, the integration of enterprise is the integration of information by dynamic or static data inside the enterprise and on the product-supply-line (among enterprises).

Hence, the amount of medical waste related to COVID-19 increases significantly, managing the infectious medical waste related to COVID-19 generated in diagnosing and treating patients at health centers is critical, and providing medical items is the other important side (Tirkolaee et al., 2021). Information integration helps systems to estimate better, and consequently, make better decisions (Uysal, 2022). During the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of integrated healthcare information systems can cope with demand uncertainties (Yin et al., 2020). Strict establishment and standardization of the waste management of COVID-19 are essentially considered to manage the source of infection to avoid spreading the disease (Peng et al., 2020). Another significant problem, the reverse logistics system for managing medical waste, has been rarely focused on (Yu, Sun, et al., 2020).

Despite every step is relevant to judge maintenance-related decisions, it is especially the technical integration of data and information that affects the robustness and reliability of the current MM process (Ruschel, Santos, and Loures 2017). In particular:Data integration: heterogeneous and geographically dispersed data sources generate a huge number of signals to be recorded (often in a different format and sampling frequency) that are not easy to merge in a single and consistent database to enable further elaboration (Sharma et al. 2017; Campos et al. 2017);Information integration: difficulties in integrating highly specialized, domain-specific systems in a consistent way affect the sharing and integration of information to support decision-making; this is exacerbated by the misalignment between company departments (Mahlamäki et al. 2016; Legat, Neidig, and Roshchin 2011).
An information integration approach to spacecraft fault diagnosis

Information integration is the process of providing a unified view of multiple data sources for users. In big data environments, methods for efficiently integrating information have become a major bottleneck for the use of information resources. Based on virtualised information integration architecture, this study uses a knowledge graph to integrate the whole life cycle information of a spacecraft.
